Trials, and Tribulation - Keep Going :)
God sends trials, and tribulations to people who want to be patient. Also, for people that want to grow more spiritually, as well as get stronger in their faith. God has given me trials, and tribulations just like He does with all His children that have called upon Him. I was NOT happy with them before. But, now I am, because now I am a stronger Christian, and my walk with God is even sweeter than before. Last weeks sermon was about this very subject. I absolutely loved it. It was about why God sends trials, and tribulations to us Christians. We often think... "Why is this hardship happening to me? My walk is good enough. I have been reading my Bible, praying daily.. Why me?" Why you? Because, God wants to make you stronger. Even though a trial is going to be hard, He is testing your faith, your trust, and your dependence on Him. Consider it an honor to have these things happen to you. He loves you so much, and has a purpose for you, and wants you to get closer, and closer to Him in every trial. I learned to thank Him for every trial of my life. During some which I am in now, I am always thanking Him, because it is making me stronger. He is the one that is making me stronger, because with the trials that I have in my life I cannot stand on my own with them. I seen and have heard stories from some close brothers, and sisters in Christ about their life's trials, and how they knew God would take care of them during that time, and never gave up. They KEPT GOING. So with my life. I am never going to give up on God, and He's not going to give up on me. Patience takes time to get used too. I'm already a pretty patient person... well, with little things. But, with life I used to want to speed things up, and take control of my life, (which even isn't mine.. and honestly I still do sometimes.. we all do) when I knew all I should have done is waited on God. Because, when I took matters into my own hands, everything ended up badly, and I could have saved myself from a lot of grief. But, sadly we all do this, it is our flesh. Adam and Eve did it...Abram-Abraham did it. If I only waited on the Lord and trusted in His timing then- everything would have unfolded out beautifully. That was the old me though. I'm new now, and trust Gods timing, and it is exciting because I see how He's showing me His plan, and blessings are abundant. I probably will have my slip ups though. Who doesn't? Although I'm not going to let the prince of the world get me to do that. God is the Head and I obey what He wants. .... I see my life unfolding in His timing, and it is wonderful. :) Patience is the key to pretty much everything. Also, with trials and tribulations, there can be temptations. God wants us Christians to NOT yield unto temptation. He want's us to overcome it although, it can be difficult. Sometimes or quite often we are being tempted within a trial, and need patience to overcome that temptation. When we don't yield to sin He blesses us. Galatians 2:20 "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I life yet not I, but Christ liveth in me and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God who loved me, and gave himself for me." Patience is to build your maturity, and your character. Romans 5:2-4 "By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience: and experience, hope." Hope in the Lord always, He knows what He's doing. :) God is good.
